About the Front Headlock Series

David Avellan started as a wrestler and spent over two decades in martial arts — and his knees paid the price for every shot he ever took. So he adapted: picks, body locks, snatch singles, and blast doubles, all set up from one position he kept coming back to — the front headlock.

One of his biggest wins came from it. In overtime against ADCC Absolute Champion Roberto "Cyborg" Abreu, Cyborg shot — and David reversed him with a far-knee block off the front headlock and put him on his back for the win.
